Ellen Degeneres Live in Melbourne!
Okay before i start,
I was actually majorly bummed out initially
because Im a huge fan
and I watch *The Ellen Show* every single day.
So when it was announced,
that she was going to Melbourne first,
before flying off to Sydney
the day we arrive in Melbourne,
I was really crushed.
However, fortunately for me (but unfortunate for her),
she fell ill for about a week? and had to postpone
and Melbourne became a later part of her schedule after Sydney,
and I just couldnt miss this for the world.
The event took part at Birrarung Marr Park,
next to the Federation Square
and doors opened up at 11am.
Thinking that we should probably head there
just a lil earlier to queue up at 9am
so that we would have a good view of the stage
but we were so wrong.
I dont know if you can actually see this
from the picture above,
but this was 9am and that was
a 500 metre queue.
Apparently people were so buzzed
that they were camping the night before since 9pm
just to have good spots for her event!
TOTALLY INSANE!
And i secretly thought to myself,
'Im really too old for this and thats why
i dont go for raves and concerts anymore. -_-'
Ellen posted up on her *twitter*
the day before for her audience
to come dressing up as the best Graffiti
and they will win some cash prizes!
So here are some trying to do
last minute work on their costumes
while staying in their queue!
This is me hiding away from the scorching sun.
As much as I wanted so badly to suntan,
it was our pre-wedding photoshoot
the very next day and i really couldnt
risk looking all sunburnt for it!
We spotted Tony Okungbowa,
who is Ellen's Dee-jay!
We were seriously blessed,
after waiting 4 hours under the hot sun,
they stopped the line into the venue
just a handful of people in front of us
and at that moment i was consoling myself
that it was okay if we really couldnt get in.
But then they decided to let only
another 15 extra people in
and the boy and I were the 12th and 13th person. T_T
SO CLOSE! Phew! haha!
Okay some pictures taken at the event below.
Unfortunately,
there were more clearer photos
in the boy's camera but
it mysteriously disappeared. :(
So we'll just have to make-do
with the photos here from my iphone.
Truly the highlight of my trip
and the best early birthday present ever!
And yes, we did get sun burnt
in the end anyway! HAHA!

Bruno Mars- When I was your man.
The hit song at the moment in Australia,
which is making me catch on its fever!
I could easily catch it on the radio in Melbourne
playing at least 4 times a day!
