Meet Klyde.

This is Klyde,
an approx 4 year old turtle
which we adopted last night.

I say adopted because the boy's friend
found him straying up to her house one night
and couldnt look after him as she travels alot,
so the boy convinced me for weeks
to take him in. -_-

And the boy is obsessed with him.

He even woke up at 8am today
(the boy isnt a morning person),
just to clean his bowl. -_-

He's been researching about him online,
obviously found out that Klyde is a male
and here are just the other things,
hes been telling me:

"Can we take him to a vet? I wanna check if hes healthy. Pleaseeeee!"

"I read online that we need a bigger tank and a filter to filter his poo so he wont be swimming in his own. We need to get a filter and a bigger tank!"

"Some people bought two tanks! One for them to play in and one to eat in! Should we get two too?!"

"I read online and they said we need to feed him some meat for protein too!"

"Did you know turtles have nerves on their shells?"

"I think i need to get a separate toothbrush to clean his shell."

"Online says we should only feed them alternate days or he'll be fat."

"Omg i was just thinking. If this is what its like to have a child, its so stressful because you constantly just want to be with him and make sure he's okay and bring him everywhere with you. Its makes me feel like i dont want to go to the office!"

MSGHennwei: I cant wait to come home to him!

Me: What about to me?!
MSGHennwei: Oh yeah! But you're a given. ;p
Me: T_T

Obsessed, I say! HAHAHA!

But its so cute to see how excited
the boy is with his first pet.
(Yes. First ever. His mum never allowed him
to have any pets when he was younger.)

Oh well, welcome to the family, Klyde. :)

PS: His name was inspired by the boy's old computer game nickname, KYLL and the US Sherlock film, *Elementary*. If you do watch the show, you'll know why. -_- HAHAHAHA.
