A friend gave me
a very precious book
early June,
only very typical of me
to only find some time
after 3 months to read it.
In my defense,
I was studying for exams
at the time. T_T
Anyway,
ive only read the first
few pages so far
when I had to rush out
for a whole day shopping marathon
at Gardens and MidValley today
for the perfect evening dress
for MSG.HennWei's sister, Hennley's
wedding dinner in October.
Okay,
here's what i thought
was rather interesting about the book.
There are four simple themes to this book.
First, human nature never changes.
Second, the achievement of material goals
and career ambitions does not equal
the achievement of happiness in life.
There is no correlation between success and happiness.
Thrid, it is our will
that allows each of us to accomplish our goals,
not our intellect.
Talent is not enough. Luck is not enough.
Only the will to suffer hard work
and incredible persistence leads to
the attainment of the impossible.
Finally, it is the individual,
not the group, that has led to the great
discoveries of humanity.
Quotes taken here and there
out of the book,
*Jesse Livermore- World's Greatest Stock Trader*.
These are just the first
few pages of the book
and it gets more interesting
but for now,
it's Castle marathon time.
Off to Melacca for daytrip tomorrow!
Cant wait for the Chicken Rice Balls
and Sate Celups tomorrow!
