For someone who doesn't even know where the soya sauce is in her own kitchen (this shows i dont often go there! ;p), I am actually cooking! ask anyone who really knows me! I DONT USE TO COOK AT ALL! i even need my little sister's help to on the stove back home! -_-
Well since moving to the UK, I had to strive on very little allowances and therefore, eating home is the best way to save on the pounds. So yes. I'm cooking now. I've even put some creativity into mixing it abit around with the ingredients i had.
Here are some of my proud achievements!

1) Wan Tan Mee
Ingredients:
Brussel Sprouts
Cooked Chiken Ham ( strips )
Black sauce
Soya Sauce
Onion with olive oil
Mee
Sesame Oil
Pepper
Oyster Sauce
This turned out quite nice. I really didn't know how to cook at all so i just dumped the mee to let it boil in the rice cooker. The brussel sprouts were chopped up and heated with onion & olive oil in the microwave with a pyrex bowl and later added with some oyster sauce. The mee was then scooped up into the pyrex bowl, along with slices of cooked chicken ham to give a little more colour and flavouring. :) rate: 6/10

2) Rice with Cod Fish and Vege.
Ingredients:
Rice
Brussel Sprouts
Cod Fish
Sesame Seed
Sesame Oil
Olive onion oil
Black sauce
Soya sauce
Pepper
This dish was one of the best dishes i have ever cooked. The only problem was, I forgot to wash the fish before cooking it! -_- but well I fried it a little longer and it tasted great. (hmm maybe i didnt wash it that's why it tasted better?! O_O) not an easy dish for me because of the fish. had to wear gloves so it wouldnt splatter all over when it was in the frying pan with oil. had to finish up the brussel sprouts as it was expiring, so chopped them and did the exact same thing like the previous dish to cook it. put them all together and after adding the sauces, i added sesame seeds which tasted lovely with the hot dish. :D rate: 8/10

3) Waffles
Ingredients:
Waffles
Butter
Mapple Syrup/ Honey
It was those freeze and heat waffles and i was struggling with the oven as no one was up yet to help me with it. had it for breakfast and it tasted like too much patatos. plus, the honey wasn't really all that sweet and there wasn't any taste. rate: 3/10

4) Bolognese Pasta
Ingredients:
Pasta
Ready-made bolognese sauce in a jar
Mozzerella Cheese
Cooked Chicken Ham
It was fast. Simple and simply delicious! Unfortunately, I'm not professional enough to know how to make my own bolognese sauce so i bought a pre-made jar, just to heat up and it's ready! I boiled the pasta and sliced up the chicken ham which then was all added into the pyrex bowl with the bolognese sauce and mozzerella cheese in the microwave to finish it off. rate: 8.5/10

5)Baked beans with Rice.
Ingredients:
Rice
Baked Beans
An Egg
Black Sauce
Sesame Seed
Sesame Oil
As you can see, I'm running out of ingredients. I haven't been to the supermarket since Nils brought me to Tesco two weekends ago. While waiting for the rice to cook, I had the baked beans in the pyrex bowl and broke an egg in it to put in the microwave to cook. Added the sauces and sesame seeds later. rate: 5/10

6)Indon Mee
Ingredients:
Maggie Mee
Black sauce
Soya Sauce
Pepper
Oyster Sauce
Seasonings from the packet
Sesame Oil
The worst I have ever had! I missed Indon mee so much but i didnt have the proper ingredients and therefore decided to cook the maggie mee in the rice cooker before scooping only the mee up to the plate to add the sauce. I should have put half of the seasonings given in the packet because it was awfully salty and i had a hard time finishing up the dish. I had to run to the kitchen to get...

...CHOCOLATES! just to sweeten those taste buds. >_< rate: 1/10
Okay lah. I shall stop bragging.

Typical. -_-
You know how when you buy pirated vcds/dvds, they tend to get the subtitles all wrong?!
It's rather embarrassing when your Spanish friend borrows your pirated 'Pirates of the Carribean' dvd which you brought from home and comes back to tell you that the subtitles are ALL WRONG.
and he isn't even good at english at all!
we need more well-educated english people in the country.

a wonderful surprise.
was joking with the boyfriend a few days before the TBS prom last Saturday. We were discussing about what he was going to wear. We came to a conclusion for the boyfriend to wear the chinese collared suit, which he would look absolutely dashing. I joked, "You'd better pin a sign on your back to say you're my property! Touch no see!"
we laughed about it. and i was seriously joking.
he didn't even tell me about it after he got back. it was Mag who messaged me on MSN the very next day saying how cute the sign was.
"huh? what sign?"
"The one that says 'Property of Chew Sher Lyn!'?!" mag exclaimed.
Me:

"Wanted to give you a surprise ma. Didn't want to tell you until i got the photo which was in a friend's camera."

i came across your blog due to sheer boredom. clicking here and there, n voila. and i saw the waffles that u baked. i wonder if it was labelled "potato waffles" on the box? it is made of potatoes. another shape for fries, one might say. eat them with chili sauce instead :) get those sainsbury's waffles which would be at the bakery side, or at least it is there here in nottingham. no idea how it would be there. it's freezable if you dont want to eat immediately and taste yummy just on its own. yummier with butter and honey :)
Hi, in fact Bolognese sauce is not difficult to make at all, I would like to share my recipes with u. Firstly, fry the tomatoes, capsicums and unions separately.( well, 3 tomatoes, 2 capsicums and 2 unions should b enough for 3 person serving), and then blend them together. Fry the mince meat / ham, and then mix the sauce with the meat, put a little bit of black paper and some other species. U could put cream in ur sauce as well in order to make it more creamy.
It is very tasty, i got this recipes from my italian friend, so try it!!
u actually like Brussel sprouts??!! yuckkkk puik hehe ;P

gr@ff!t!> you and this M.S.G. sama wun. what's wrong with brussel sprouts?! it's nice! hmm maybe its the way you cooked it? because if you want to boil it instead of putting it in the microwave, you must boil it with salt water. :)
