Have I told you about AlcoK?

If you've been reading my blog
long enough you'll know,
there's this one girl i met
while i was working in Singapore
that just absolutely took my heart away.

I told her this before
and i mean it,
i told her that if
i could write a book
about our friendship
and about her life,
I really would.

The little boy in the picture,
is her lovely 4-and-a-half year old son
who is the most wonderful little boy
I have ever met.

He's intelligence
and loyalty to his mother
is something i admire for someone
who is so young for his age.

Which comes to the point of this post,
while looking at this picture,
i thought about how amazing she is
and i cant say enough of how proud
i am of her to have gone so much and so far
to be where she is today.

She's a full-time single mother,
full-time employee at Citibank,
part-time undergraduate student,
part-time blogger (which she's stopped recently),
and a full-time best friend/ supporter/ alco kaki/ listener.

I have never ever seen
another 23-year-old
who has that much courage
and energy to keep that enthusiast up
every morning to keep going.

Despite all the work problems,
assignment problems and guy trouble,
she picks herself up all the time
and puts her game face on no matter what.

The fact is that everytime she tells me
how tired she is and how she feels like giving up,
she tells me that coming home to her lil' boy
feels like everything is worth it.





I could go on and on really
about how inspiring she is to me
and how I look up to her so much
that she's like my idol
to be so ambitious.

And i know how cheesy this sounds
but its just really how i feel :)

Just wanted to say i love you baby girl
and how proud i am of all your achievements.

Will see you pretty soon-ish
when i make my trip down ok.

Promise. :)
