Just random updates.



Had my colleague, Roberto to walk me down
for breakfast earlier on.

We were talking about his new place
and how the rent was rising at his old apartment
so he had to move out.

He didnt specifically say how much his current rental was
but he said enough to give me a figure
to make a mental calculation in my head,
to realise how much traders' really earn,
which btw is freaking ALOT.





Let me give you an example,

While waiting for our hot drinks ......


Roberto: You ARE coming for the company trip in January, arent you?
Me: Im afraid not. There's no point going to Macau both in December AND January, right?
Roberto: Why are you going in December when you have a fully expense paid trip in January?
Me: Im going with family for Christmas and we've planned wayyy before this ever came up. I mean there's really nothing to do in Macau isnt?
Roberto: You can gamble! We can go to the casinos!
Me: With what money? Im hardly able to spend on myself here with my interns' pay.
Roberto: I will give you some money to gamble with me then. C'mon!

*Stares with disbelief*


I managed to restrain myself
from looking like a complete idiot
and quickly kindly rejected his offer,
as honestly i'd rather take the time
to go back home than to spend more time
with people that i see all the time.
(hope no offense taken >_<)



It's nearly close to 3 months now
that ive been in this industry,
and ive learned so much
especially to block out alot of unnecessary drama,
which sometimes makes me feel weird
because im almost not myself anymore.


On another note,
with Christmas just less than 2 weeks away,
ive yet to do ANY Christmas shopping.

In fact,
ive no time for anything else
and my nights always end with me
crashing straight as my head touches the pillow.

Turned down a hedge fund party last night
just to have dinner & drinks with Melanie
as she was leaving later today.


Have tons of pictures to edit
but im just too tired for now.

As for the weekends,
RabbitDavid would be coming to visit
so i would only have today to stay home,
do nothing and get some rest.
