Family Photoshoot (with the in-laws!)

So the morning
before our first wedding dinner,
Hennley managed to engage
our wedding photographer, *Jon Low*
for some of his time to shoot our family.

Here are just some of the photos
for the day!

Enjoy. x

Absolutely breath-taking pictures
that makes wonderful memories.

Thanks again, JonLow. :)

Life after the wedding.

Dinner date @ Euro Deli

Our first dinner date
as husband and wife
at Euro Deli, Damansara Kim.

After months of dieting,
I just really needed this. hehe.

Blogged about them previously *here*!

Dinner date @ Betty's Midwest Kitchen, Aman Suria

Heard about this famous place
for ages but never came around to try,
plus the only time we accidentally
stumbled upon this was during
the 7th ghost chinese month
and i was on vegetarian. -_-

The 'dog food' (which is actually
fries in a homemade sauce baked with loads
and loads of cheese!) is absolutely
to-die-for delicious!

Family bonding time @ in-laws house

Missing this lil bug
which takes 5 people
just to shower him. haha!

Spent some quality time
with the sis-in-law
and her family before they flew
back to Melbourne. :)

An Early Celebration!

It was an early birthday celebration
for the cousin-in-law, Karen
and baby Zander's 9th (month) birthday
before they all flew back to Melbourne.

Coincidentally we also celebrated
our first week anniversary
as husband and wife too that day. (yay us!)

Public Transport?!

For the first time,
my journey to Mid Valley
consisted of:

Walk - Shuttle bus - Train - Bus

Arrived to Mid Valley safely all and about
approx an hour (including the after-work hour jam!).

Was pretty nervous and excited at the same time
with it being my first time sitting public transport
in Kuala Lumpur since a long, long time!

I must say there are still good in Malaysian people
who selflessly helped me, guided me and even offered to pay
for my bus fare when I didnt have any change on me.

So proud to be Malaysian
at times like these! :)

Dinner with friends @ Hokkaido Ichiba, The Gardens.

I just needed to eat lah.
Get it? haha!

Got so excited to see
they have a whole menu full
of JUST desserts!

Heaven sent. x

Australian Confectionary, Jalan Imbi

Went to settle some wedding bills
with the bakery that did our wedding cake
and just to show you what an amazing job
they did with my wedding cake
that i specifically requested to look like
the 'Twilight' movie's wedding cake.

Look at how amazingly similar it is!
The left is the original
and the right is mine!

Changed the colors of the flowers
to match my theme and she added more beads.

And they always say, its not just the quantity
but the quality of the cake as well,
and it tasted freaking fantastic.

Im so glad that I choose them
to do this up for me on my very special day.

If you would to know more about them
or visit them, heres the address:

Australian Confectionary

Telephone number: 03-21421759

I've previously blogged about them *here*
and they have vastly improved since then
(even tho they were already so good!)

Absolutely love their cakes and cookies!

Family bonding time @ Parents' house

Helped with the homemade panmee
for dinner. :)

A special gift from the USA!

A very special gift
from my cousin-in-law
all the way from the States!

I swear that shipping prolly cost more
than the porcelain figurine itself. :(

But still, so sweet of her to send them all the way
and they are huge too!

Absolutely love it. :)

Supper @ La Creperie de Caroline, Bangsar Telawi

Since im no longer on a bridal diet,
we'd do crepes for supper! haha!

With MingKing and Susu,
to try out this new French place
in Bangsar, Telawi.

We had their famous salted butter & caramel
and the house-made chocolate & toasted bananas.

Smurflicious!

Lunch with mummy @ Paddington House of Pancakes

Some mouth-watering pancakes/crepes
for lunch and some bonding time with mummy. :)

Some peace.

Just as i talked about it *here*,
she has peacefully left us yesterday afternoon.

What i hate about this is
that because of all the wedding traditions,
me and the boy arent allowed
to go to the wake ceremony or the funeral,
because its too near to the wedding date,
which is rather upsetting considering
i cant even send her off.

Its going to be another hectic weekend
and i kinda just want a break from things.

What a happy song by Pharrell Williams
from the new Despicable Me 2 sountrack
and its my favourite at the mo,
just because it reminds me
to always be happy and strong
no matter what happens.

Sigh.

My weekend in Instagram.

My Saturday in Instagram

So blessed to have the boy with me
(almost) all weekend long
and he suggested brunch at *Yeast Boulangerie*
for their famous pastries and egg brunches.

I was a happy girl. :)

Rushed to Mid Valley
to support my sister
who is promoting her new pre-school, *BeeBop Circus*
at Mid Valley's education exhibtition last weekend.

An overwhelming response
for my baby sister's birthday weekend!

So proud of her!

After rushing home,
taking a quick nap
and getting ready for a long night,
I was on the way for my first stop
for some cake tasting for the wedding. :)

Im here wearing my new matte rouge lipstick
from MAC which i got from Mid Valley earlier that day!

Love that shade and have been eyeing it for a while!

Measuring the base of our 5-tier wedding cake,
which we will be serving to guests on the day.

Something different, crazy but definitely exciting!

Picked out some lovely pre-cocktail delish as well!

After cake tasting,
we went straight to Shook! at Starhill, KL
for the sister's birthday dinner.

This wasnt on Instagram
but just had to share how lovely
she looked that night with her new dress. :)

And a family picture of course. :)

Another family picture
but this wasnt on instagram either im afraid. hehe.

I wasnt ready for the photo
but I think its such a nice photo
of the four of us in a long time. :)

Family time are my weekends
and the only time I live to look forward to. :)

I was wearing:
Dress by Miss Selfridge (old season)
Heels by Zara
Bag by Charles and Keith
Earrings by Swarovski (seen in selfie picture hehe)

Sister is here seen carrying
my birthday gift to her,
a personalized clutch by *MNO.logie*. :)

Followed by a long, crazy night
at *Marini's at 57*, KLCC
for more of the sister's birthday celebration,
together with a few of her close friends.

My Sunday in Instagram

Our Sunday was even more hectic.

This was actually the only picture
I took on instagram at a temple in Tanjong Malim
that we went to in the morning.

It was suppose to be a picture of some of the
temple followers, releasing birds into the wild
but unfortunately with my iPhone camera,
i was unable to be quick enough to capture
the flight of the birds. ;p

Later that afternoon, after a quick lunch,
we rushed off to see my oldest aunt from my dad's side
who is in critical condition in the hospital.

Ive been to the hospital
wayyy too many times in the last 2 years. :(

After the hospital visit,
we were running errands and picking out
last minute items to add on to the wedding
before making a quick stop at the in-laws
to visit them and helping them
with last min details as well.

Which is why,
this really made my day
when I woke up to this this morning
that the boy drew last night,
after getting this small white board
to put on the fridge from Daiso.

So damn cute. :)

Happy 5th month, Zander!

My soon-to-be nephew turned
5 months last week.

Here's a photo of him
enjoying winter in Melbourne
with a Hippo winter cap. haha

Just too adorable to not share this picture.

Lots of love, aunty Sher! xxx

My First Cheesecake!

Ive been cooking alot lately
and experimenting with new recipes
so when I told my mum-in-law that i wanted
to do a cheesecake,
just because it doesnt require an oven
which i dont have one,
she decided to share this recipe with me
from *Philadephia Cheese* and
make one together!

Ingredients:
1 cup of biscuit crumbs - approx 10 biscuits (we used digestive biscuits, you may swap to Oreo cookies for new kicks ;p)
1/3 cup of butter, melted
2 x 250g Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened at room temperature
2 teaspoons of gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup of boiling water
1 x 400g can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated lemon rind

Steps:
1) Mix biscuit crumbs with melted butter and press into base of a 20cm pan and chill it fridge.
2) Beat cream cheese with electric beater until smooth, mix in gelatin mixture, condensed milk, lemon juice and rind.
3) Pour onto crumb base and chill in fridge (2-3 hours or overnight)
4) Optional: Top and served with fruit of choice or white chocolate!

Fast, easy
and delicious!

Of course you can reduce the amount
of gelatin (which even i thought was too thick)
but my mum-in-law was worried
that the strawberries would fall off!

Just cant get over,
how beautiful it is,
although i'd probably work
on my knife skills next. -_-
