2013 so far (for him)

Yeah haha not for me
because so far the only great thing
that has happened to me so far
is having a slight improvement
in my career. haha

For the boy,
its barely even half the month of January
but he has already donated blood,
being offerred to be a partner,
became an uncle, became a hengtai.

And all for his very first time.

Cant believe 2013 is going great for him
and im so jealous!

To even make this even more exciting,
we will finally end our 2 year plus engagement
and will be getting hitch this year.

Hope 2013 will bring us more joy,
happiness, prosperity, health and luck to come!

What I did on New Year's Day.

My puppy at my parents' house
was so excited to see me come home
on New Year's Day.




Went for New Year's Day prayers
for the year 2013.






Cooked pan mee for dinner for the first time,
for the whole family from scratch!

With help from my 2nd aunt of course,
who is down till mid January
from Amsterdam for a visit!




The boy did a VERY impulse thing
buying this 'Out of Service' signboard,
which I nor he have absolutely no idea
what to do with it.

MSG.HennWei: I saw it and I just had to buy it!

New Year Resolution for 2013.


Okay so this year,
im focusing more on my goal
to weight loss.

As i think ive mentioned it many times,
Im FINALLY getting married this year
after postponing it twice
due to unfortunate & *unforeseen circumstances*.

Hence, the emphasis on my weight goal.

So at the top of the list:

1) Lose weight (im not setting a goal as I dont want to pressure myself)
2) Focus and improve in my career.
3) Complete my study goals for 2013.
4) Spend more time with loved ones.


Of course,
with just 9 more months to the wedding,
theres just a lot to do,
especially when i want mostly done DIY,
so im just hoping everything would go smoothly
throughout this wonderful New Year.

2013.


I dont know where to begin
without making 2013 sound
super exciting.

My first paper for CMT will be in May,
my results for CFA will be out late Jan
and im finally gonna be hitched late 2013.

The boy would also have his first nephew
for the first time ever in early 2013
and he would also be taking up
a whole new exciting project/ adventure
that i hope will work out.

Exciting career opportunities as well
and im so absolutely anxious about it all!

Although i might have to give up
the most exciting trip of 2013,
to Prague and Munich,
I still hope better opportunities
are yet to come!

A small sacrifice to make!

As for New Year Resolutions,
I think having a good career,
focusing on passing my exams,
spending more time with family
and concentrating on more weight loss programmes
will definitely be my priority for 2013.

This is just the beginning!

Time to blog.

Ok so its the end
of January 2012.

Just an update:

Really pushing for my wedding plans,
making an effort daily to go to gym,
am vegetarian for 49 days
and im finally start my new work soon.

Okay so new year resolution
that ive yet to set for 2012:

1) Lose 5kg
2) Pass CFA Level 1
3) Do great in my career and actually get it legalised. (long story...)


Pretty much everything
anyone can wish for.

I would say i would love
to travel more but
with the exam that i would
want to sit for,
i think it would be more
than i would be able to handle.

For now,
my long bumming days
are almost over.

I feel like it isnt enough
and im not even ready to feel
like blogging yet.

2012 is going to be different.

Different in a good challenge
sort of way and i know
we will make this work.

We'll get through this
with our new projects,
plans for work and a more
fitness lifestyle
and we will end this year
with a wonderful, successful bang! :)

Is it 2012 already?!

The day i woke up to 2012
just didnt seem like a day different at all
from all the previous New Year's eve ive had.

I was hidding away with family
and loved ones in Cameron Highlands for 2 nights,
which was massively jammed by the way.

Ive loved 2011.

It was the year that so many
of my dreams came true.

1) I finally did my *LASIK* so im no longer blind.
(which brings me to another grateful thing,
that the surgery was a success and I have
good eyesights now.)

2) After struggling for nearly 2 years,
I got the career of my dreams... and then i quit again haha.

3) I got *engaged* to the man of my dreams.

Those are the top 3 of my 2011 list,
although I would say there were so much
drama and happiness in 2011
that made me a much better person.

Like i did an adoption this year,
to a 3 year old *toddler* in India,
did my first *marathon*
and passed my exams to be a
double-licensed holder for Futures and Equities.

Also me and the fiancé's relationship grew.

We had a better understanding
of loyalty, trust and love.

I also started working out
and also started reading books again
after a long due of absence.

Just a couple of days ago,
I suddenly remembered I had another
personal blog on Vox,
which was something i wrote on to
when I have absolutely no where to pour out to
as this blog got too commercialised.

I havent had to log on to that blog
for a year now and that shows a huge
improvement on the level of happiness in my life.

I have wonderful friends,
a loving family,
a beautiful own place to stay,
hopefully that dream job of mine to come
and the gorgeous soon-to-be husband of mine.

What more can I ask?

Of course there were the sad times
like the first time I had to experience
a *death* in my family
and then there was the 24-hour shift
for 8 months in my career experience.

Im glad it builds to make me
who i am for 2012.

After all like the saying goes,
what doesnt kill you would
only make you stronger.

Cheers to 2012!

Can you believe that its almost
the end of 2011?

The new year that I thought would be great?
The new year that I thought everything would
be going smoothly for me?

What happened?
Where did all my time go?
What have I achieved this year?

The only great thing
to look forward to is planning
my travel itinerary for 2012.

Mannn, im super packed up
till Oct/ Nov 2012 already!

Crap. That means more cash outflow. -_-
Better save now!

Office decided to have
a secret Santa game this year
which was so funny because
we played it a little different.

We had to give 3 gifts each
at a minimum of RM45 for the accumulation
of all 3 presents
and we were to NEVER reveal
ourselves AT ALL. HAHA!





I got the most expensive
present of all
and i also found out
who gave it to me. haha!
(not so secret afterall, Jacky! haha!)

So sweet of him,
to get me things that i love.

Two boxes of *my fave 'Hello Panda' biscuits*,
a gorgeous but expensive pink logitech wireless
computer mouse (yes i also found out how much it is. -_-)
and more batteries to keep it long lasting. HAHAHAHA!

New Year's Eve 2010





Requested something different
for our New Year's Eve dinner,
Indon Mee & Maggie Soup at the Mamak in Bangsar
and of course the boyfriend
never said no to cheaper alternatives. haha





MachoGary and AndrewYish
came to visit me and the boy
which they ended up playing
some war/strategy board game
until 4am. T_T

Very Big Bang Theory-ish. haha!





The boys were also very compromising
with accompanying me across to Tropicana City Mall
which was a 2 minute walking distance from my place
to celebrate the countdown.

So we bought drinks in Starbucks
and sat down to watch the fireworks. :)

Had a nice video on the fireworks
but unfortunately i filmed it upside down
and have no idea how to flip it
so no posting! haha!

I love simple celebrations. :)
